N.J. voters to decide spending $450M on stem cell work

New Jersey voters are to decide if the state should spend $450 over the next 10 years on stem cell research–which would make them second only to California in public money spent on stem cell research.

Even though ADULT Stem cells are already curing spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease, sickle cell anemia and multiple sclerosis, read what wheelchair bound (and unfortunately uninformed) Scott Simpkins has to say:

“We’re at the doorstep of new discovery,” Simpkins said of the research many believe will bring cures for ailments such as spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease, sickle cell anemia and multiple sclerosis.

At the same time in nearby New York, a health care services company is opening an adult stem cell collection center!

ProHEALTH will begin its collection operations upon the receipt of licensure by the New York State Department of Health. As it builds its client base, ProHEALTH intends to establish the first single purpose facility dedicated specifically to providing adult stem cell collection services, as well as supporting any future stem cell related offerings developed, acquired or licensed by NeoStem.
