Are these ideals applicable today? Is this “too much”? Or would leaning back in this direction help our youth bring dignity back to courtship?

Couples had to navigate through an established and inflexible etiquette developed over time to protect the woman’s character and good name thus ensuring her viability on the marriage market, but needless to say made courtship very difficult.

There were very specific rules and prohibitions to forming an attachment.
- Formal means of address
- Discreet conversation
- No intimate touching
- No correspondence
- No gift-giving

An important but often unacknowledged angle of the abortion debate involves the serious effects that legalized abortion has on men.
A recent scandal surrounding John Edwards, former North Carolina Senator and US presidential candidate, brought this issue into plain view.
