Professor Ken Howell teaches (or rather, taught) a class on Catholicism at the University of Illinois. In that class, evidently the topic of homosexuality came up and Prof Howell said he agree with the Church’s teaching. A student (who remains anonymous) had a friend file a complaint for him and continues to remain anonymous, and Prof. Howell was fired. 
According to the rules of Academic Freedom, scholars have the freedom to teach or communicate ideas or facts related to their class without fear of losing their job or being arrested. However, they must avoid controversial matter that is unrelated… Read the rest

What ‘cha think?
Having worked with women in the fashion industry and in television, I tend to bet a bit skeptical about her story. Citi wouldn’t hire her, train her, and then fire her…too expensive. And they’re too large of a company to not ‘cover their tracks’ if they DID fire her for dressing provocative. Neal McDonough is a marvelous actor who elevates every role he plays, whether it’s in Band of Brothers or Desperate Housewives. So when he was suddenly replaced with David James Elliott 3 days into the filming on ABC’s new series Scoundrels earlier this week, there had to be a story behind the story.
