  1. thanks for posting this
too many people have a lot to say and won’t read the first line!
Personally I find this law troubling only in the context where it might discourage an illegal immigrant from reporting a crime or cooperating with law enforcement for fear of being deported!
Other than that, I hate to hear/read of situations where someone has repeatedly broken the law, been arrested, and never was deported because of lack of communication between various agencies. There was a case in Chicago a few years back where a young boy was shot by a student who overstayed his visa’s expiration by years. That child’s death could have been prevented if someone had taken the time and had the backup to check into the man’s immigration status when he had been arrested twice before.
As long as a peace officer can be courteous and professional, this law should be no problem at all.

I can’t belive our president would lie so openly. We’er doomed if we don’t get the lawyers out of DC.

  7. Thanks for posting the actual document

  8. Thanks for posting. It answers my questions. The governor did what she needed to protect her state and it’s citizens’ safety. I am sorely disappointed that the President never once sought to speak with the Governor about Arizona’s troubles…just dismissed her as though she was a silly hysterical woman.
