Update on My Dad

I received a call from my Mom yesterday, and my Dad’s health has taken a downturn. My flight to Michigan leaves at 7am. I’ll be with my Mom and Dad until the end, so I’m not sure how many weeks I’ll be up there. Your prayers are gratefully appreciated!

Another Update on My Dad

Another Update on My Dad

He did some treatments and is now enjoying time at home with my Mum…managing his pain and having good and bad days. Dad is offering up his suffering for a special intention, so he asks for prayers that he can suffer well. He has also asked for prayers for my Mum. Isn’t that so thoughtful of him? He’s so concerned about everyone around him and not for himself. I LOVE MY DAD!!!

Update on my Dad’s Cancer Diagnosis

“Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away: as it hath pleased the Lord so is it done: blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Jobe 1:21)

Well, we know that Dad has Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). What we didn’t know was that it was in his lymph and his bones as well as his lungs. (His PET and MRI tomorrow will tell us more.) That “cancer spread” shortens his life-expectancy greatly–down to a few months, actually.
